February 07 Slowly, Slowly. So, have converted my first little client into $$.
:) M will be training with me twice a week, and I am going to get him fit and
fabulous (well, as much as possible) for his trip to see family in April. He
said "I want to be less... fat." Yes, we can rebuild him.
However, that is all at present. Bit disappointed
at the lack of people actually returning calls or turning up on time (if I say
7pm people, turn up within 5min or text message me that you're going to be late,
because trust me, I have a life). Last night, two lovely ladies who I had given
a complimentary session to (cause I want them to train with me) turned up at
7:20 for a 7pm session, just as I was walking out the door in annoyance. They
said traffic was bad, and they'd just given a girl a hand to get out of a car
space, cause someone had parked her in (which was nice of them, I'll admit) and
then said "oh, did you have somewhere to go?" Well gee ladies, seeing as how the
session is 45min, and you're here 20min late, I kinda thought you weren't
coming.
So to punish them, they're coming in at 7:30am on
Monday morning. HA HA! :)
But it's a bit demoralising at the moment. I KNOW
I'm a good trainer - but I haven't earned any money as yet, and triple packs are
taking a long time to come together. :(
Health and fitness wise, I'm feeling tired and slow
and fat at present. I've started a weight diary (big thick blue thing that's
hard to bloody miss in my locker) to remind me of goals and aims.
Just feeling low at the moment.
February 04 Ow. Sore. Tired. So, been BUSY.
Spending lots of time at the gym trying to pimp
myself out to people to train with me - once again, anyone want to train at
Fitness First Sylvania, email realfit@internode.on.net - and triple
packing clients that come through.
So far I've had two people for my triple packs - L
& M - L is a gorgeous woman who is really into training and loves being
thrashed (my kind of client) and M is a guy who is trying to quit smoking (and
not doing well, cause I saw him this morning with one!). I have a couple more
lined up as well, which I am greatly looking forward to! Trying to convert them
to be my paying clients at the end of this triple pack, but depends on
finances.
Wish I worked at Bondi Platinum - one of the
trainers there said his client pays $100 an hour, AND is giving him a $20,000
Ducati AND $20,000 cash if he reaches his goal by a certain date. But, that's
only Platinum people at Bondi, cause that's a tossy suburb where lots of rich
people live (and the gym where Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban go).
Had boxing certification yesterday and today,
EVERYTHING hurts. You know when you see boxers on TV (don't think Mike Tyson -
god forbid - think Danny Green and Kostya Tzysu)? You know their fabulous abs
and great muscles. Yeah, that comes from PAIN. I spent six hours, SIX, boxing
yesterday - going through all the technical moves like shuffles and guards and
slips - and today, every time I move my friggin' body something hurts.
Shoulders, back, arms, stomach. I think the only think that doesn't hurt at
present are my legs - but considering I have basketball tonight, that will be
short-lived.
And this morning, I'm sitting near my manager's
office when the 2IC (second in charge - you learn something new everyday) goes
"Katie, come with me for a second" and drags me into the boxing room where
there's a class about to start. After telling me I'm going to be running the
class (to which I replied "ah, client in 10 minutes!") he proceeded to inform
the class that "this is Katie, and she'll be taking this class whenever I'm
away, and she's also one of the trainers here, and used to work at Vision." Cue
me totally open mouthed going "what the f**k?" So apparently I might be teaching
boxing now. With all my experience.
Will try to post some photos later - when I can get
the stupid thing to work!!! I WAS going to send Kitty some kitty / tuesday
shots, but she seems to be quite content to post her own, so none for her.
:)
Will try to post more often (keep saying that,
don't I?) as I'm going to set the hours that I want to work at the gym, and be
there then - apart from floor hours, which this morning started at the ungodly
hour of 5:30am.
Which reminds me...
IF YOU GET IT OUT, PUT IT THE HELL
AWAY.
Boys especially. I do not want to pick up 50kg
dumbbells and barbells every night. I'm just lucky I'm a good flirt and can get
the muscle heads to pick most of them up for me (I can look cute and helpless
when I try). I don't mind putting the small dumbbells and fitballs and mats
away, but I'm getting slightly over the whole barbell thing. And also people not
leaving then gym when it's closed - don't make me poke you with the ski pole
again, I'm not afraid to use it.
